William Cook Amos 
William Cook was born on June 29th, 1808 in , Bourbon, Kentucky. William Cook's father was Thomas Amos and his mother was Catherine Devore. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas Day Amos and Christiana Ditto. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Nicholas, Mordecai, John Devore, Abraham Ditto, Elizabeth, Harriet, Catherine, Christiana and Ann. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 60 in 1868.-
