Inman was born about 1797 in VA. Inman 's father was John WHITTON and his mother was Alice ORR. His paternal grandparents were John WHITTON and Elizabeth HINSON. He had two brothers and a sister, named William Crawford, Robert H. and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the four children.-
