Samuel was born on November 23rd, 1736 in Prince George Co., MD. Samuel 's father was Charles LUCAS and his mother was Elizabeth EVANS. His paternal grandparents were Thomas LUCAS and Dorothy LUCAS; his maternal grandparents were Richard EVANS and Elizabeth HALL . He had four brothers and four sisters, named Charles, Thomas , William , Richard , Elizabeth, Mary , Anne and Sarah. He was the youngest of the nine children.-
