His paternal grandparents were Riley HOLCOMB and Nancy F. WILLIAMS; his maternal grandparents were Henry H. MURPHY and Sarah Jane (twin) DAWSON. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Roy Ernest, Earl Harold, Herbert Hoover , Gwendolyn Edith, Dahli Susan, Ruth Alberta and Viginia Elizabeth . He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 86 on March 7th, 1995 in Weed, Otero Co., NM.General Notes
