Rueben Crawford was born about 1794 in Fauquier Co., VA. Rueben Crawford's father was Jesse Janson HINSON and his mother was Elizabeth CRAWFORD. His paternal grandparents were Robert HINSON and Margaret "Peggy" UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were William Valentine CRAWFORD and Eleanor Honora GRIMES. He had four brothers and five sisters, named James Crawford , William , George Washington , John Jesse, Jane S. , Sarah , Sally , Catherine "Kate" and Margaret. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died on November 20th, 1848 in Carroll Co., GA.-
