His paternal grandparents were Daniel DOANE and Constance SNOW ; his maternal grandparents were William TWINING and Elizabeth DEANE. He had six brothers and a sister, named Eleazer (Eliezer), Elijah, Isreal, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Joseph and Lydia.
