Comer was born in 1907 in Pocahontas, Blount Co., AL . Comer's father was James Yerby DENNEY and his mother was Sarah A HALE. His paternal grandparents were Henry Cleveland DENNEY and Frankie E. " Fanny" MOORE. He had two brothers and three sisters, named James H. , Finis, Dollie , Cora E. and Hattie A. . He was the second youngest of the six children.-
