Ralph Doyle was born on April 6th, 1925 in Richwood, Nicholas Co., WV. Ralph Doyle's father was William Arnold DAWSON and his mother was Opal Icy KEENER. His paternal grandparents were William (Poker Bill) Wyatt DAWSON and Florence Margaret CART; his maternal grandparents were Lorin Hildebrand KEENER and Sarah Virginia "Jennie" MORGAN . He had five brothers and four sisters, named William Wade, Dallas Eugene, Bernard Patrick, Robert (Bobby) Gene, Living, Helen Ruth , Living, Living and Living. He died at the age of 82 on January 21st, 2008 in Charleston, Kanawah Co., WV.General Notes

Ralph Doyle Dawson
Ralph Doyle Dawson, 82, of Yawkey went home to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Arnold and Opel Dawson. He served his country proudly during World War II as a member of the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in San Diego and the Marshall Islands where he was a mechanic and radar technician. He was also a member of the Benny Padilla VFW Post 4768 Alum Creek.
Ralph was married to the late Jewell Burton Dawson for 62 years. It was during this time he worked and retired from FMC, had a daughter, Patricia Ann, became a Christian and deacon at Amy Baptist Church and became a papaw and great-papaw. He also loved to hunt and fish, but mostly enjoyed spending time with family, friends and serving the Lord.
Aside from his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Gene, Wade and Bernard Dawson, all of Richwood, and his sister, Helen Peacock of Florida.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek, with Pastors Forest Curry and Butch Leadman officiating. Burial will be in Lively Cemetery at Sod
with military graveside rites conducted by the Benny Padilla VFW Post 4768. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Sandy Bragg and Shirley Selby for their love and care, the Hospice House staff for their compassion and wonderful care, but mostly to Ralph's friends, family and
church members that surrounded him with love and prayers. He truly loved and enjoyed you all.
