Timothy was born in 1821 in Duplin Co., NC. Timothy's father was William BLAND and his mother was Susannah ALDERMAN. His paternal grandparents were James BLAND and Jemima ALDERMAN. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Daniel, David , Hiram , James, William , Jemima, Safronia, Edith , Rebecca and Sarah . He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.-
