Phelp was born in 1817 in KY . Phelp's father was Eli BLAND and his mother was Sarah ANDERSON. His paternal grandparents were Osborne BLAND and Letitia (Lettice) "Lettie" HAMBRICK . He had a brother and two sisters, named Matthew Martin, Elizabeth Ann and Mahala P. . He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 33 in 1850 in Marshall Twp., Platte Co., MO.-
