Mathilde Truly was born in 1904 in Aurorra Plantation,Tensas Parish, LA. Mathilde Truly's father was Maxwell Washington BLAND and her mother was Sophia Moore WHITNEY . Her paternal grandparents were Lucian BLAND and Rosa Russell ROLLINS. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Millard Lee , Maxwell W., Maxine Whitney , Helen Rose and Sophie Whitney. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 37 in 1941 in Ferriday , Concordia Paris,LA.-
