Mable was born in 1919 in Rockcastle Co., KY . Mable 's father was Palestine T. (Richard\Dick) BARNETT and her mother was Lula SHEPARD . Her paternal grandparents were William L. BARNETT and Elizabeth Betty MULLINS . She had two brothers and four sisters, named Arville Beverly, William Columbus , Elizabeth "Betty", Lucy Jane , Mary Alice and Sylvia Easter. She was the second youngest of the seven children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named William Leonard , Lola Helen , Cora E and Nancy .-
