George was born in 1796 in Allen Co., KY. George's father was Anders Andrew (Jr) ANDERSON and his mother was Agnes (Pharis) Farris. His paternal grandparents were Anders Andrew ANDERSSON and Mary CONELLY; his maternal grandparents were James Esom (Jr) FARRIS and Ann BURKE. He had five brothers named Andrew III, Mathew, Cunningham M. , Thomas and John Benton. He was the third oldest of the six children.-
