Daniel was born about 1834 in , , IN. Daniel's father was Jacob Archer and his mother was Abigail "Matty" MORRIS. His paternal grandparents were Simon Archer and Nancy Church. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Jacob, Michael , Moses Aaron, Miles, Martin Van Buren , Phoebe and Mary . He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died on April 22nd, 1863 in Pulaski, Giles Co, TN.General Notes
