Bethoc was born in 0984 in of Atholl, Perthshire, Scotland.1   Bethoc's father was Malcolm II of Alba King of Scots.  Her paternal grandfather was Kenneth II (Cinaed) of Alba King of Scots. She had a sister named Anleta.  She was the older of the two children.  She died at the age of 59 in 1043.  She was buried in Heiress of Scone..1 1
