Jane's father was Roger le Bigod Earl of East Anglia and her mother was Adelise de Toeni. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Chamberlain le Bigod and daughter de St. Sauveur; her maternal grandparents were Roger I Standard Bearer of Normandy de Toeni and Adela de Barcelona. She had a sister named Gunnor. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Hugh le Bigod, Maud and Emma de Bréteuil.General Notes
