Sir William of Sizergh Castle was born about 1242 in of Great Strickland.1   Sir William of Sizergh Castle's father was Sir Robert de Vaux II II de Strickland and his mother was daughter de Gellellestone.  His paternal grandparents were Sir Robert de Vaux de Strickland and Beatrice de Cotesford.  He was an only child.  He died in of Sizergh Castle, Westmorland.1
