Maud was born in of Burkenham, Field Dalling, Norfolk.1   Maud's father was James du Harcourt de St. Hilary and her mother was Aveline (de St. Hillary).  Her paternal grandfather was Richard (Hasculfe) de St. Hillary.  She was an only child.  She died on December 24th, 1195 in Norfolk, England.1
