Robert was born in 1062 in of Derbyshire, England.1 Robert's father was Henri de Ferrers and his mother was Berta Roberts. His paternal grandfather was Walcheline de Ferrers. He was an only child. He died at the age of 77 in 1139. He was buried in 2nd Earl of Derby..1 1 General Notes
