Maud de Carinthia 
Maud was born in of Karnten, Austria.1 Maud's father was Ingelbert II Duc de Carinthia and her mother was Utha of Passau von Sulzbach. Her paternal grandparents were Engelbert I Lavanthal Ct de Lavanthal and Hedwig (de Lavanthal); her maternal grandfather was Ulric von Putten. She was an only child. She died on December 13th, 1160.1 General Notes

She was a member of the dynasty which is now called "Sp onheimer" and
which survives in (for example) the Princes of Sayn and the Cou nts of
Ortenburg. She was a daughter of Engelbert II (d. 1141), Duke of
Ca rinthia from 1090, and his wife Uta of Passau. See the Schwennicke
