His paternal grandparents were Benjimin Franklin Welk and Louisa Minierva Whatley; his maternal grandparents were Zack Lee Prince and Alma Lois Young. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Infant, William Lonzo, Living, Living, Living, Living and Living.-
