Ebenezer Titus 
Ebenezer was born in 1727 in Huntington, Suffolk County, New York and his baptism took place on November 4th, 1739 in Suffolk County, New York.1 Ebenezer's father was Timothy Titus and his mother was Elizabeth Blatchley. His paternal grandparents were Abiel Titus and Rebecca Mary Scudder. He was an only child. He died at the age of 80 on September 14th, 1807 in Dry Creek, Davidson County, Tennessee. Ebenezer was employed as a chain carrier in the Commissioner's part y who
in February 1783 laid off the claims of the North
Carolina Continental line. He was successful and much respected citizen
of Nashville for many yea rs. The following notice
appeared in the " Imperial Review " ,published at Nas hville, 17 Sept
1807' Mrs. Rachel (Matthews) Bowen, dau of John and
Ann Arch er) Matthews, of Augusta County,Virginia
