county in th e 1850 census in house # 1042. The age is right. Does the
"C" in Matilda C Ross stand for Catherine?
Matilda's mom is supposedly a "Kirby" according to t he Lamar County Death
Records. There is a Henry Kirby with family in Henders on county. Could
he have had an older daughter that married a William Ross?
