Penelope was born about 1839 in Choctaw Co, AL.1   Penelope's father was Wyatt Wade PUCKETT and her mother was Elizabeth P CARTER. She had a brother and three sisters, named R P, FRANCES Elizabeth, Sarah A and Martha J.  She was the second youngest of the five children.
