Rebecca Peyton was born on March 7th, 1868 in Westmoreland Co., VA.1 Rebecca Peyton's father was Willoughby Jr. Newton and her mother was Betsy Lewis Marshall. Her paternal grandparents were Willoughby (2) Newton and Mary Stevenson Brockenbrough. She had three brothers and two sisters, named James Keith Marshall, Edmund Marshall, Jacquelin Ambler, Mary Willougby and Bessie Lewis. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 30 on May 2nd, 1898.1 General Notes
