William Griff Moore

William Griff was born on June 10th, 1847 in Tennessee.¹   William Griff's father was Denson Aaron Moore and his mother was Margarette Cook.  His paternal grandfather was Aaron Moore. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Frank, Aaron Robert, Alexander, Henry, Elizabeth and Sarah J.  He was the youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 82 on February 28th, 1930 in High, Lamar County, Texas.  He was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas.^1 1
