Reared by Dempsey Jones and Martha Jane (Puckett) COLLINS. Martha Jane was a sister to Annie's mother.
It is assumed since Annie was only 2 mos. old when her mother died, her Aunt Martha and Uncle Dempsey Collins took her to live with them at that time. However, there is no proof.
