Home in charge. Born in Paris, a daughter of John and Eth el Boyd
Lattimore, she attended Paris schools and married Lloyd
'Button' M. Moore Dec. 29, 1931. He died Feb. 23, 1988. She was
postmistress at Roxton fo r 25 years before retiring and
had worked at the Paris post office for 4 years . She was a member of the
Roxton United Methodist Church and had taught
its adult ladies Sunday school class for a number of years. She was a
member of t he National League of Postmasters, had
served on the Lamar County welfare boar d for 9 years, was a member of
the Red River Valley Arts Ass'n, a charter
me mber of the Roxton Book Club, and was a lifetime member of the United
Methodi st Women. She served on the board of
the Roxton Cemetery Ass'n. and on the boa rd of the Roxton Ex-Students
Ass'n. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law,
James Lloyd and Pat Moore of Rockwall; 2 grandchildren, Brennan Moore
and Al lison Moore, both of Rockwall.' This is
