Murchad macDiarmata was born in 1050.1 Murchad macDiarmata's father was Diarmait MacMáil na mBó King of Ireland and his mother was Dearbforgail O'Brien. His paternal grandparents were Donnchad Máel na mBó King of Ui Cheinnselaig and Aife ingen Gilla Pátraic; his maternal grandfather was Donnchad O'Brien King of Munster. He was an only child. He died at the age of 20 on November 21st, 1070 in Dublin, Leinster, Ireland. He was buried in Acceded: 1052.1 1 General Notes
