John King 
John was born on January 12th, 1758 in Virginia.1 John's father was Thomas King and his mother was Sarah Alexander. His paternal grandparents were William Alfred King and Sophia Elizabeth Burgess. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Sackville, Thomas, Elisha, William, Daniel, Philip, Walter, Catherine and Margaret Peggy. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 84 in 1842 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.1 General Notes
