Laura Ann was born on February 25th, 1889.1 Laura Ann's father was John Dryce Johnson and her mother was Nancy Adeline Garrett. Her paternal grandparents were John R. Johnson and Modena Williams. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Virgil Lee, Narve James, Clarence, Daughter, Effie, Mary Etta, Bertha Modena, Myrtle, Carrie and Ruby. She was the third oldest of the eleven children.-
