Joseph Pinkney was born on May 22nd, 1837 in ,Henderson Co., N.C.. Joseph Pinkney's father was Noble Johnson and his mother was Charolotte Edwards. His paternal grandparents were James Johnson and Ann Cole. He had a sister named Naomi. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 83 on May 8th, 1921.General Notes
