Burdette was born on June 29th, 1708.1   Burdette's father was Thomas Clifton and his mother was Sarah Ashton.  His paternal grandparents were James Clifton and Anne Brent; his maternal grandfather was John Ashton.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 52 in 1760.1
