Narrative

[byrne.ftw]
!After the death of her husband Mrs. Robertson spent some time at the
home of her half-brother Colonel Richard Taylor ( known as "Hopping
Dick," because of lameness), who received and entertained her and her
family with great kindness and hospitality. Afterwards she and the
children went to live with her father, Commodore Richard Taylor, at
his home "Woodlawn," near Westport, Kentucky, on the Ohio River, about
twenty miles above Louisville, where they all continued until his
death. After that they moved to Louisville.
