Narrative
Graduated at William and Mary College, Virginia. Studied law under Judge
St. George Tucker and practiced with distinction in Loisville; member of
the Kentucky legislature; member of congress 1817-21; againa member and
Speaker of the Kentucky legislature in 1822. Minister to columbia in
1823; and Envoy Extraordinary to the Panama Congress in 1826, but died on
his way there.
