Linda Marie (Schramm) Kappler's Obituary - Linda Marie Kappler, the
daughter of Hildegard Wacker Schramm and the late Gus Schramm, Sr. was
born October 3, 1951, in La Grange, Texas. She was Baptized into the
Christian faith on October 21, 1995, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church of
Warda, Texas, by Pastor Paul C. Eifert. She confirmed her faith in the
Rite of Confirmation on April 11, 1965, at Holy Cross of Warda, Texas,
with Pastor H. O. Hartfield. He Confirmation verse was Luke 11:28;
"Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."
She was united in Holy Wedlock with William Kappler on August 12, 1972,
at Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Warda, Texas, by Pastor Marcus Wolfram.
This union was blessed with two children.
She was preceded in death by ther father, Gus Schramm, Sr.; her
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schramm, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Wacker; her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Kappler and by one
nephew, Todd Miertschin.
She fell asleep in Jesus at University Hospital in San Antonio on
December 14, 1995, at 3:15 p.m. at the age of 44 years, 2 months, and 11
days.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, William Kappler of Serbin, one son,
Russell Kappler, and one daughter, Rebecca Kappler, both of Serbin;
Mother, Hildegard Schramm, of Warda; four brothers, Gus Jr. and Janet
Schramm, Paul and Jeanette Schramm, David and Allene Schramm, and John
(J.C.) and Carol Schramm, all of Warda; one sister-in-law, Frances and
Elmo Miertschin of Austin, one brother-in-law, Leroy Kappler of Austin;
as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many
friends and acquaintances.
O God the Father in Heaven, have mercy upon us.
O God the Son, Redeemer of the world, have mercy upon us.
O God the Holy Ghost, have mercy upon us,
and grant us Thy peace.
