Somerset, MD. Will probated 1 Aug 1771. I, William Robertson of Somerset
county in the province of MD being sick and weak in body, but of sound and
perfect memory, blessed be God, and calling to mind the uncertainty of
Life do think it proper to settle the affairs of this world which I shall
do in the following manner viz - First I give unto my wife Ann Robertson
my Negro fellow Abram during her natural life and after her death, to be
sold and the money to be equally divided among 5 of my daughters viz
Mary, Betty, Priscilla, Nelly, and Sarah. Secondly I give unto my
daughter Margaret Conley the plantation where my mother Mary Robertson
now lives with all my land thereto joining to her and her heirs forever.
Thirdly I give unto my daughter Ann Robertson my dwelling plantation
where on I now live and all my lands thereto joining and 1 cow and calf
to her and her heirs forever. fourthly I leave all the rest of my estate
to be equally divided among 5 of my daughters viz Mary, Betty, Priscilla,
Nelly, and Sarah and doth ordain and constitute and confirm this to be my
last will and testament and do by there present annul, cancel, and make
void all wills and testaments heretofore made by me. In witness thereof
I have here unto set my hand and fixed my seal 4 May 1771. Signed,
