Narrative

Arrived at Lynn, Massachusetts in 1637. Was an early settler of
Sandwich, Massachusetts. Instructed the Indians at Mashpee beginning in
1658. Ordained as a minister in 1670. Became a Deputy at the General
Court, and was a member of the Council of War in 1675. Died in 1682 or
in 1685.
