Edward II King of England of the house of Plantagenet, the 4th son of
Edward the I and his first wife Eleanor of Castile. The deaths of the

title. In the meantime Robert The Bruce (see Robertson Line) had almost
completed his conquest Scotland. Which he had begun shortly after 1305.
In 1314 Edward II and his Barons raised an army of about 100,000 with
which to crush Bruce, but in the attempt to raise the seige of Sterling
were decisively defeated. Edward later futilly invaded Scotland again.
In 1323 signed a 13 year truce with Robert Bruce. In 1325 Queen Isabella
accompanied the prince to France, where in accordence with fuedal custom,
he did homage to Charles IV, King of France for the fief of Aquitaine.
Isabell who desired to depose the Despeners allied herself with a number
of barons who had been exiled by Edward II. In 1326 with ther leader
Roger De Mortimer (1287-1330) Isabella raised an army and invaded
England. Edward and his favorites fled but Isabella pursued and executed
the Dispensers and imprisioned Edward. In January 1327 Parliment forced
