Ralph was born in 1190 in Wigmore, Herfordshire, England. Ralph's father was Roger Lord of Wigmore Mortimer and his mother was Isabel Ferrers. His maternal grandfather was Robert Ferrers. He had two brothers named Philip and Robert. He died at the age of 56 on August 6th, 1246 in Wigmore, Herfordshire, England.
