Samuel Goode was born on August 27th, 1818. Samuel Goode's father was Seth Ward and his mother was Martha Norvell. His paternal grandparents were Seth Ward and Mary Goode; his maternal grandfather was Hon. William Norvell. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Seth, Benjamin, William Norvell, George Edward, Mary, Martha, Lucy E., Nancy Edmona and Mary Goode. He was the youngest of the ten children.General Notes
