Anne was born on May 3rd, 1764. Anne's father was Charles Venable and her mother was Elizabeth Smith. Her paternal grandparents were Abraham II Venable and Martha Hannah Davis; her maternal grandfather was Robert S. Smith. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, Abraham, Charles, Mary, Elizabeth, Sara, Martha, Dorothea, Agnes Venable (Mrs. and Nancy. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.-
