James Thornton Jr. 
James was born in 1798 in KY.1 James' father was James Thornton and his mother was Sarah Bailey Hawkins. His maternal grandparents were Moses Hawkins and Susannah Strother. He had a sister named Sophia Strother. He was the older of the two children.1 General Notes
