George Thornton 
George was born on March 3rd, 1786 in VA.1 George's father was George S. Thornton and his mother was Margaret Stanley. His paternal grandparents were Anthony Thornton(Ormsby) II and Sarah Taliaferro. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Peter, Charles, Thomas Stanley, Anthony L., John, William, Catherine Taliaferro, Ann, Mary Presley and Lucy Buckner. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He died before 1840.1 General Notes
