Edith Matilda of was born in 1079 in Dumfermline, Scotland.1   Edith Matilda of's father was King Malcolm III Canmore of Scotland and her mother was Margaret of, the Saint of England Saxony.  Her paternal grandparents were Duncan I MacCrinan King Of Scotland and Sibyl Fitzsiward of Northumberland; her maternal grandparents were Prince Edward Atheling the Exile and Princess Agatha of Germany. She had four brothers and a sister, named King Edgar of, King Alexander I "The Fierce" of, King David I "The Saint" of, Edward of and Mary of. She had a half-brother named King Duncan II of.  She died at the age of 39 on May 1st, 1118 in Westminster Palace, London, England.1
