Jesse Read 
Jesse was born about 1744 in Isle of Wight Co., Va. Jesse's father was Harmon Read and his mother was Mary Pendry. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Reade and Lucy Unknown. He had a brother and two sisters, named Aaron, Dorcas and Lydia. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Moses, James, A Daughter of Harmon and Amy. He died on June 6th, 1820 in Halifax Co., NC.-
