Jane's father was John Moore and her mother was Rebecca Catlett.  Her maternal grandparents were John Catlett and Elizabeth Gaines. She had a brother named William. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Francis, Reuben, Catlett, Sarah, Elizabeth and Eleanor Rose.
