Mary Edith Merritt

Mary Edith was born on March 10th, 1899.¹   Mary Edith's father was Alexander Washington Merritt and her mother was Eliza Catherine Hope.  Her paternal grandparents were John Merritt and UNKNOWN Unknown. She had eight brothers and six sisters, named Samuel Washington, Daniel Jackson, George Wilkerson, William Alex, Bert Edwin, Infant, Winfred Author, John Randolph, Sarah Julia, Rosa Aliceann, Jennie Bell, Serrilda Elizabeth, Iva and Jesse Mabel.  She was the fourth youngest of the fifteen children.
