1 Capt. Francis' father was Nicholas Meriwether and his mother was Elizabeth Woodhouse. He was an only child. He died about 1712.1 General Notes

Captain Meriwether was Clerk of Essex in 1692 and Burgess of Essex
1706-1712. He had, at least, 2 daughters Lucy and Mary. Interestingly,
we are directly descended from both Lucy and Mary.
