1 Daniel's father was Stephen Greenleaf and his mother was Elizabeth Coffin. His paternal grandparents were Edmond Greenleaf and Sara Moore; his maternal grandparents were Tristram Coffin and Dionis Stevens. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Stephen, John, Samual, Edmund, Tristram, Sarah, Elizabeth, Judith and Mary.-
